  • 0.25 cup Apple Cider Vinegar Tenderizing agent

For the Ribs

  • 2 pounds Boneless Beef Short Ribs Choose marbled meat for tenderness

For the BBQ Sauce

  • cup Ketchup Base for sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce Adds umami flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar Balances sweetness
  • ½ cup Honey Adds sweetness
  • 5 tablespoons Bourbon Provides depth of flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Molasses For rich flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix the marinade ingredients in a jar and let sit.
  • Marinate the beef ribs for 2 to 4 hours or overnight.
  • Trim excess hard fat from ribs without removing the thin layer for moisture.
  • Preheat your cooking method of choice (slow cooker, oven, or grill).

Cooking

  • For slow cooking, place marinated ribs in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • For oven baking, cover ribs with foil and cook at 300°F for 2.5-3 hours.
  • For grilling, preheat grill to medium-high and cook for 1-2 hours, monitoring closely.
  • In the last 30-45 minutes, apply BBQ sauce to the ribs for a glaze.

Notes

Allow ribs to rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking for improved flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
