  • 4 slices slices of bread Use fresh bread for a crispier texture.
  • 2 pieces cooked chicken breasts, shredded Store-bought shredded chicken can be used.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with mozzarella or pepper jack.
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter Spread on the bread for crispiness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder Provides flavor to the chicken mixture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the flavor profile.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning the chicken.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Assembly

  • Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a baking sheet.
  • Divide the chicken mixture evenly on top of the bread slices.
  • Layer the sliced avocado on top of the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the avocado.
  • Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  • Cut each sandwich in half, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side of salad, chips, or your favorite dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best eaten within a day or two.
