Burger Mixture

  • 1.5 lb ground chuck Use high-quality for best flavor and juiciness.
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix Experiment with different dressing mixes for unique flavors.
  • cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Different cheese types can be used for variations.

Toppings

  • 6 pieces hamburger buns Toast for extra crunchiness if desired.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Form the mixture into 6 hamburger patties, keeping them the same size and thickness. Press a small dimple in the center of each patty.
  • Wet your hands with cold water before forming the patties to prevent sticking.

Cooking

  • Grill the patties to your desired doneness over medium heat, flipping carefully.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 140-145°F for medium, and 160°F for well-done.
  • Avoid pressing down on the patties to keep the juices in.

Serving

  • Serve the burgers on hamburger buns and top with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo.
  • Set up a toppings bar for customization.

Notes

If storing leftovers, keep cooked patties in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For uncooked patties, freeze them in a single layer then store in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
