Ingredients
  

For the Mushrooms

  • 1 lb whole mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Cool Ranch Dip

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip each mushroom in the flour mixture, followed by the beaten eggs, and then coat it in breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Fry the mushrooms in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Making the Dip

  • In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning together until well combined.

Serving

  • Serve the crispy fried mushrooms with the Cool Ranch dip on the side.

Notes

Crispy Fried Mushrooms are best served hot, straight from the fryer. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. To reheat, place them in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes. For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture.
