Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients. Make sure the salmon fillets are thawed if they were frozen. Mince the garlic and have your honey and soy sauce ready.

Making the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic together. This will be your glaze for the salmon.

Cooking the Salmon

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  • Carefully flip the salmon and spoon the honey garlic glaze over the top of the fillets. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is bubbling.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and transfer it to a plate. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the skillet over the top and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

You can serve this salmon with a side of steamed vegetables or on a bed of rice for a complete meal. It also pairs well with a fresh salad or roasted potatoes. If you have leftovers, place the salmon in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, use the oven or skillet until warmed through. Don’t overcrowd the pan while cooking, watch the glaze to prevent burning, and adjust the sweetness if needed.
