Ingredients
  

Pasta and Cheese

  • 1 pound ziti pasta Cook according to package instructions
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese For topping

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix the marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Layering and Cooking

  • In the slow cooker, layer half of the cooked ziti, half of the marinara mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti, marinara mixture, and top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until heated through and cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Best served warm. Top with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs for extra flavor. Pair with a simple green salad and garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 2 months.
