  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with provolone or dairy-free cheese.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Can substitute with fresh herbs.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Start by laying the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper evenly over the chicken.
  • Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken, ensuring it's well covered.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • When you’re about 30 minutes away from serving, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the chicken. Cover again to allow the cheese to melt.
  • Spoon the chicken and sauce over cooked pasta and enjoy!
