  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be a healthier alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to your preference.
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • to taste Butter for toasting

Preparation

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully blended.
  • Prepare the Buns: Cut the burger buns in half and lightly butter the insides.
  • Fill the Buns: Generously fill each bun with the chicken mixture, packing it in nicely.
  • Bake to Perfection: Place the filled buns on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on top.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped veggies like bell peppers or green onions. Use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to cut down on prep time.
