Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 4 pieces pears Choose ripe but firm pears.
  • 8 oz blue cheese Can substitute with goat cheese or feta.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Substitute with pecans or almonds if desired.
  • 2 tbsp honey Plus more for drizzling before serving.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme (optional) For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the pears in half and scoop out a small portion of the center to make room for the filling.

Filling and Baking

  • In a bowl, mix the blue cheese, chopped walnuts, honey, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Stuff each pear half with the blue cheese mixture.
  • Place the stuffed pears on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
  • Remove from the oven and drizzle with additional honey, if desired.
  • Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at a low temperature until warmed through. Experiment with different cheeses or add dried fruits for extra sweetness. For a twist, add crumbled bacon for a smoky flavor.
