Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Stir in flour, mixing well until a dough forms.
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly for a few minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing vigorously until the dough is smooth and well-combined.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag. Pipe small bite-sized shapes onto a piece of parchment paper.
  • Lightly spray the churro bites with cooking spray. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  • While your churro bites are cooking, combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Roll the warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

Ensure the air fryer isn’t overcrowded for even cooking. Store leftover dough in the fridge for a day or so.
