  • 1-2 pieces Tomatoes, diced
  • to taste Rice or Quinoa (optional) For a filling base.

Taco Toppings

  • Avocado or guacamole
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite)
  • Salsa
  • Shredded lettuce

Instructions
 

Cook the Turkey

  • In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat.
  • Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally to break it apart and ensure even cooking.

Season It Up

  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the turkey, adding a splash of water to help it adhere.
  • Stir well and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.

Chop Your Veggies

  • While the turkey simmers, wash and chop the bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes.
  • Prepare your taco toppings during this time.

Assemble Your Bowl

  • If using rice or quinoa, prepare it according to package instructions.
  • In a serving bowl, place a layer of rice or quinoa (if desired), followed by the turkey mixture.
  • Top generously with fresh veggies and your choice of taco toppings.
