Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella and cheddar blend)
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (chopped, such as parsley or chives)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, shredded cheese, fresh herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Cut the pastry into 3-inch squares.
  • Place about a tablespoon of the cheese filling in the center of each square.
  • Fold the corners of each pastry square towards the center to form triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
  • Arrange the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Whisk the egg and brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.

Notes

Be mindful of not overfilling the pastries to avoid a messy baking experience. Leftover filling can be baked in a small dish for a tasty dip.
