Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6–8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (Extra virgin if possible)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (Grandma’s secret spice)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (Don’t skip it!)
  • ½ tsp onion powder (Adds depth of flavor)
  • ½ tsp dried thyme (Crumbled gently between fingers)
  • ½ tsp salt (Adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (Freshly cracked)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish (optional))

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  • Rub the chicken breasts thoroughly with the seasoning mix, making sure every nook and cranny is covered.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 9 minutes, then flip using tongs and cook another 8–9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Finishing touches

  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For even more flavor, marinate the chicken in the seasoning mix for a few hours before cooking. Ensure the chicken breasts are of similar size for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C) for perfect doneness. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
