Ingredients
  

For Smoked Chicken

  • 1 whole whole chicken (4-5 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste Applewood or hickory wood chips for smoking

For Smoked Ribs

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ rub
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (optional)
  • to taste Hickory or oak wood chips for smoking

For Smoked Vegetables

  • 2 ears corn
  • 1 large red bell pepper, halved
  • 1 large zucchini, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Cherry or applewood chips for smoking

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the smoker according to the recipe you are making, usually around 225°F to 250°F.
  • For chicken, rub the chicken with olive oil and coat with spices.
  • For ribs, remove the membrane and rub the BBQ rub thoroughly.
  • For vegetables, toss them with olive oil and seasoning.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken on the smoker grates, breast side up, and smoke for 3-4 hours.
  • For ribs, smoke for 3 hours, wrap in foil with apple juice, then smoke for another 2 hours.
  • Smoke vegetables for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Finishing

  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  • Once ribs are done, apply BBQ sauce if desired, then smoke for an additional hour.
  • Serve warm the smoked veggies as a side dish or in a salad.

Notes

Experiment with different wood chips for unique flavor profiles. Monitor the smoker temperature regularly for best results.
