  • 8 large Eggs Essential for holding the casserole together.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese Mix cheddar and colby jack for flavor.
  • 1 pound Breakfast sausage Cooked until golden.
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk preferred for creaminess.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  • Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet until golden and crispy. Drain excess grease.

Layering

  • Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the sausage.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Top with frozen tater tots evenly across the top.

Baking
