  • 1 package brownie mix or from scratch ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt

Cream Cheese Layer Ingredients

  • 4 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 ounces chocolate chips for topping

Instructions
 

Preparing the Brownie Base

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with foil.
  • Mix the brownie base ingredients until smooth, then pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until slightly soft.

Making the Cream Cheese Mixture

  • While the brownie cools, mix the cream cheese layer ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  • Carefully pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie base and spread evenly.

Baking the Cheesecake

  • Bake for an additional 40 minutes until set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for 4-5 hours.
